Hello everyone,
I am new to this "community" but not to the ownership of Jags... Unfortunately the following happened to me a couple of days ago after "playing" abit with the iCarsoft LR V3.0. The car wouldnt crank anymore after unplugging it and i had to call someone from ADAC to bring my car "back to life"... After disconnecting and reconnecting tha battery the car was started but now seems like I have another problem.
The doors won't lock/unlock. The car has the keyless entry system. I cleared all fault codes with the iCarSoft and did the reset via BatteryManagementSystem of the iCarSoft. But still the central locking won't work. The BMS reset was only one step. Clear data of the stored battery data. Maybe not sufficient :-( .
Details of the problem:
If I press the lock button at the centre console nothing happens
If I press the unlock button at the centre console the tank cap tries to unlock
If I press the lock button on the fob nothing happens for 5 seconds. Then the cat chirps twice. Doors are still open
If I press the unlock button on the fob, nothing happens

The engine is running. No fob faults like "Smart Key missing" are shown.

I know that this is a known problem in this community and I hoping someone might help me.

Taken from FB.....
Jaguar XF remote lock/key not recognised issues.
I've been getting many requests from the group via word of mouth and I've done quite a few.
Issue one most common:
Car won't lock after battery disconnect. This is solved via immobilisation in SDD.
Issue two less common:
Key not recognised at all hence no ignition, immobilisation not possible.
This is done via cluster reprogram as it will bypass the key sequence, turns ignition itself and do the immobilisation at the end.
This will also update cluster to latest software, bonus.
Please don't throw suitcases of money on KVM module/keys and what not, I've never seen a faulty KVM module.
I charge 50 for it if you come with the car in Keighley or Shipley, West Yorksire. United Kingdom that is.
I can also do any sort of programming, retrofits, CCF editing.
I have the latest SDD and Pathfinder and I am the one selling the complete units on eBay over 110 sold.
Also do not throw money in any tools no matter what the sellers say, only SDD can do it no Autel etc.

JohnW777, hi, do you know of anyone in Dudley West Midlands area that can do the same for me - all the usual problems, doors not locking, but also now smart key not found and can't start the car. Have tried SDD V130 in VM, V138 and V160 in Windows 10. Got as far as auto reading the VIN but then wanted to send me off down Legacy IDS route which wouldn't load.

Hi @Andis_is ,
I started my Jaguar SDD journey with this post:
Sandmaennle Post
Maybe this is a good post for you to start with. I'm living next to Freiburg. Maybe not so far away from you? If you need some assistence, you could send me a message and we could have a small WhatsApp session :) .
Seems to be a light version of this battery disconnecting problem.

By the way....even in 2022 Jaguar dealers in Germany and France are not willing to try this immobilization thing with their equipment. They still want to sell a new BCM + programming for about 2500 EUR to 3500 EUR.
Just had this with another member near Marseille. Finally he solved it with assistance + mongoose +SDD +jumper cables. And he never did such things before. Lousy Jaguar customer service :cautious:.

Things move forward :) . I set up a cute little Dell laptop for Andi. Was a bit tricky with the latest Windows10Pro and its restriction regarding Internet Explorer and Edge. Normal issue with Microsoft SidebySide config of the old VisualStudio redistributables from 2005  Successfully tested yesterday with his adapter and my XF. Will be sent to Andi on Saturday. Keep fingers crossed for Immo-action to solve the non-locking-issue.... :coffee:

Done :)
Nice video call this morning with huge charger/power supply connected to the Cat. Well done Andi!
And again....it was only the Immo-action that solved the issue. Mirros fold again. FOB lock works again. Great!
I love such moments

There is another way to reset this door locking
Issue after battery change or disconnect.
remove key from fob, put in passenger side door lock, turn to unlock and hold, and press unlock and hold on fob at same time,
Then turn key to lock position and hold, and lock on fob and hold for a few seconds and all sorted, all doors lock and mirrors fold.
happened to mine.
mall good now. Simple !
