Would it be correct to connect the plugs from another started car to my battery while the PCM is being re-flashed?
No. It needs steady amps, absolute min 35, recommended is 50

I'm not sure what plugs you are referring to, cigar lighters can't carry the amount of current required.

I have heard of people connecting jump leads then starting the other car, and while that is better than no PSU at all, modern cars ( assume pretty much everything after 1990 unless you know for the specific car ) has battery management, and the car systems can intermittently disable the alternator from charging the car in order to measure the performance of the battery etc. so it's not the greatest idea. ( Also there may be significant electrical noise from the other car running )

Well he solved mine guys a genius, how much are you going to pay dealers, grab yourself a bargain , I could not get my car out of drive , dealer was offering to charge £ 350 just to collect it👀👀, the guy went way above and beyond for me , and only asked me to pay what I thought was fair when he completed all the work, I could not afford to pay him that !! as he spent so many hours going through everything to get it working but I payed what I could afford. I would recommend this guy to everyone that has issues with losing keys etc , guy is amazing!!!

Hi @Jaguarandi,
could you solve your issue?
I guess it's only a defective IAU. That's the small antenna unit next to the drivers knee. Your first DTCs looks like this. Or the VIM (steering column lock).

I would start with the simple and cheap IAU. It is only connected via LIN.

Helpful feedback!!
But 50 is a reasonable price. In Germany price is around 400 EUR from individuals knowing what they do. I quote 100 to 250 Eur for reprogramming kvm and bcm and bcmb in case of No Ignition at all.

Cheers

@sandmaennle do you do remote repairs? a lot more involved that way,and a lot more time getting it all to work.
starting configuring body control module (bcm) as new is solved my problem :|
but I had to pay $50 for it, so I'm surprised I didn't try it myself

hope it helps someone!!! I got off easy, I was about to remove the pcm & bcm & bcmb and send it in for reflashing....

Hi @sproot ,
sorry for my delay. It was Jaguarandi with the 50$ repair. Not me. Today I fix most of the programming issues myself. And no, I don't do remote repairs any more. Done it 2 times. Horrible. There are always things the drivers on site don't pay attention to. And it took me so much longer. The second time I didn't succeed programming the KVM+keys remotely after 2 hours. Drove 2 hours to the dead cat and programmed KVM+keys + BCM and updated BCMB with 30 min. Root cause was simply read the SDD message and follow the instruction during the key programming. If it says the second time push the unlock button, just do it :) . And only once. Not twice.
And today I know how difficult it was for MoJo two years ago to do this key reprogramming remotely :)

Cheers
Dirk
