SDD130 was able to find correct files and now FCDIM is working again

From what I've learned with these vechiles, the answer is... It depends on the circumstances ... but could you take a look for session details and what is listed there
Not 100 % sure but my case might be as following:

• SDD already deleted existing files in FCSIM and only after that found out that new files are not suitable for update
• in old session I found out needed file names and those were present in SDD 130 -> update with “old” files was working okay

please, take a look for session files and find out file names in FCDIM before any actions, then need to find SDD with those files and make update again, version 131 might be okay but what vechile you have?

I will send some more screenshots at tomorrow about where to find and what 😀

I used 32 gb stick and format to FAT32, nothing special with stick - what Windows version are you using?

I was using Win10 and other things were working but USB stick did not, then I tried SDD138 in virtual machine and that was working. Now I have old PC with Win7/32 bit and SDD164 in that old laptop.

I have 5 files and found some of yours but don’t believe renaming and “fooling” SDD with that.
I can send SDD138 to you, if you like to try that?

Not sure about the cable - I was looking after cables a long time and finally bought only cable from here https://www.jlridssddmongoose.com/i...tware/jaguar-land-rover-range-rover-diagnostics-ids-sdd-jlr-mongoose-v138-v131/ - only way is need to try and see how your cable works but I think that if cable works with other functions, then why not in here?

Cable was expensive because tax, customs etc but works okay and price is more cheaper in UK than in Finland

I don’t understand relationship between HW number and softwares - I mean what combination is okay and which is not but maybe these quys know, they are always very technical in Russia

About the txt file:

• are you using external power for the battery - 121 A and 36 Vdc?
• PCM is not working but you might already know that
• FCDIM is communication as expected and thats a good news
• two communication errors might be modules behind the FCDIM, CD player etc

Nice to hear and congratulations, these are not easy task because hard to find any training material other than basic functions - just curious, what windows version and SDD you used, and what files are included in the USB stick?

First thing in my mind is a loose soldering joint somewhere inside the cluster, how about fault codes? Are there any, when choose related symptom and check DTC’s with SDD?

This is not a direct solution for X250 problem but I am looking after one problem I have, and learned that X250 and L538 (Evoque MY12 - MY13) are sharing similar platform, thus these documents are relevant for my Evoque also.
In theory you can log all canbus traffic and in case of failure, you could find very first messages from where the problem starts - I am not expert in this field and it’s needed tools and knowledge with this, here might be other who knows this better.
Checking the wiring etc could be solution but time is needed for that, are all problematic control unit’s in same bus?
I mean, are they all in HS CAN bus or MS CAN bus?
