Did you connect a power supply (called battery support unit in your pics) to the battery? It looks like you haven’t.

 

Hi thanks for your reply, I did connect a power supply, the problem was actually a software problem with loading the sdd incorrectly.
I will post a how to load sdd on windows 10 64 bit, later on, there is quite a few steps needed

 

Below is a list of steps I had had to do to get sdd working correctly.
Acer Aspire windows 10 64 bit
2.5 MHz processor
8 GBs ram
Clear all files, turn off all firewalls, turn down windows uac.
Load sdd files in the following order.
Sdd patch then 64 bit driver then the sdd software
Next installment of windows 10 correction file.
To register you need offline patch installed inside the file there is username and password.
To activate internet explorer.
Go to notepad, type in
CreateObject("Internet explorer.Application"). Visible=true
All one word, after that make a file, save as, all files (.) , After that set the name as .VBS extension. Press save then click and drag and move to desk top.
Now you are ready to use sdd, enter offline then username and password, garage details, now near the the top right of your screen you will see an internet explorer symbol press it the page will reload, you need internet explorer for programming as it allows active X.
Hope this helps as a guideline for anyone in the future who is having problems.

 

Good lord. That's so complex...
I'm trying to do it on a PC emulator on Mac (parallels on win 11 with v164 of the SDD.) I get a side by side error. I've tried updating the visual c++ drivers but no difference. I installed the software first, then the patches one at a a time. Online, offline etc.

 

Just to make clear in the picture the battery light is red even if the vehicle has a voltage support attached, you can still read the vin number and perform any diagnostic checks with no battery support but the battery symbol will be yellow, the only exception is when you are in recommendations page to perform programming and then you will be promoted to attach a charger to the vehicle and to your laptop. The issue above was related to laptop configuration nothing else.

 

He probably means the app that comes with the cable to get around the fact that is a clone.

I haven't ventured to use SDD, yet, and am used to Macs over PCs, but Microsoft based infrastructure is my day job. I would very strongly advise against trying to get SDD to run under anything other than a dedicated physical Windows laptop, preferably on Win 10. A VM, or worse, a Windows emulator on a Mac is bound to end you in trouble: SDD will be trying to access the hardware through virtual drivers and then (on a Mac) non-native drivers. Remember you're accessing the modules on your car, mess them up and your car becomes an immovable and very large paperweight. While you're sourcing a used Win 10 laptop (with a clean fresh OS installed and licensed), you could also find a USB optical drive to load the correct supplied drivers. Don't do this and you're potentially opening yourself to a world of hurt.

 

I fired up my SDD laptop last night to see what it would do. It hasn’t been on for 9-10 months.
it pulled Edge down and SDD seemed to happily run in it on Win 10.

I no longer have compatible Jag to test it out on though. The iPace might respond but I’m not going anywhere near it. 😁

Hello All,

We have an issue with JLR SDD v165 since last week. Till then everything is working fine, but now, the connection is limited, only diagnostic can be done, services are disabled...It seems, something with the network connection could be wrong...First 3 pictures, we try some services, for example setting the immobiliser. Last 3 pics are from the network connection/settings. There were not many red X-es in the past...

Could you have any idea or tips?
