Third Party is a pretty meaningless level of cover.

If you are driving someone else’s car, and you have a prang (your fault or not), and you only have third party cover, you may as well call Ghostbusters for all the good it will help.

My XFR-S policy has cover for any other car. Because it's with a specialist insurer they said it literally covers me for anything, fully comprehensive too, not just third party.
Why did you need a specialist insurer?

If an accident is not your fault, the third parties insurance will cover the cost of repair

Best price.
Interesting, I found the so called specialist insurers were expensive in comparison to regular insurers for my M5C.

Chris, would you like to share who the insurer is?
My policy is coming up for renewal shortly (3 cars) and I will be looking for a reasonable deal.
I know these companies operate for a profit but sometimes they just take the p***
The broker is H.R. Owen Insurance Services, can't remember the name of the specific insurer, it changed last year.

So much depends on whether the underwriters have filled their "quota" for a specific risk category or not. Once filled, premia skyrocket.

I eventually got fed up and went with admiral for £240 fc and it does allow me to drive other vehicles third party.

Admiral covered my M5 Competition for £407, fully comp with business use and no claims protected, with a list of £106k, a bargain in my book

Not quite a Jaguar but I have just entered details of my car, a FFRR 3.0TD, into about 5 websites and one thing struck me.
Through Money Supermarket I was quoted £381, with quote from Saga. This included legal cover and NCB of 15 years and my wife as named additional driver.
I then put exactly the same details into the Saga website and they quoted £384.
I know it's only £3 but if anything, I would have thought the quotes would be round the other way?
Does anyone have any "experience" with saga, good or bad?
