I was wandering around TOPIx just now and came across 'fitting instructions for JAF0119_1E - Aluminium Paddle Shifters T2R6547 CJ3M-7L772-AB8'. Looking at the instructions it all seems very simple. Has anyone seen these in the flesh? :)

Lol...I`v just decided plastic will do!!...Similar after market paddles are available for other Marquee`s and the one thing they all have in common is the ridiculous price.

Ouch. If they did them in carbon fibre I'd be all over them.

Mmmmm....Yes please, I've always said the plastic ones felt flimsy, cheap and of questionable quality.

Aluminium would give that solid, satisfying feel :gt-happyup:

I can't see any fixing points, how can one fit these? at what cost?

This makes me laugh. When I got the XF I questioned the quality on another forum and got my first public warning...lol

Would love some replacement in alloy as I have on BMW's past and present. They just feel better.

Ha! Yes, I remember it well and I was also admonished for suggesting they felt cheap and could be improved considerably.

I've only seen one car with aluminium paddles and they were silver.

All the Ftypes I've seen had gold painted plastic paddles.

I'v been known to waste money....however ÂŁ300 for gear paddles is a tad pricey to say the least...but then in my humble opinion there is nowt wrong with the standard paddles

Interesting. It looks to me like the silver and red ones are aluminium and not illuminated. The symbols are actually holes in those ones. The gold ones though are painted plastic and symbols light up as per standard black version. Is this correct?

I'm liking the idea of the silver ones in my car.
