I've finally got round to putting the XF back on the road after a year lay up. I reinstalled they battery, which was regularly charged whilst off the car. When i turn on first time all the normal dash lights come on but wouldn't start on the button. So i thought it may be the key, so put it in the KVM/smart key reader slot and tried again, but nothing at all worked and I now cant get the key out of the slot!
Ive tried another battery, tried jump starting from another car to the battery connection in the front left wheel arch to ensure I have 14V near the starter motor and central junction box, but still wont release the key or show any signs of waking.
Just to make it even more awkward the cars reversed into my garage, so I've limited access and having to climb though the back seats to get to the battery!
Also is there anyway to release the EPB when the car wont switch on?
