Did you manage to test drive 1 without the salesman? ;) They are ridiculously fast for a 2.5 ton SUV on the straight!
I did indeed and there wasn’t anywhere safe enough to really try it as i was backing off each time

My XJ has a quoted time of 0-60 in 6 seconds.

Would it be any faster if I fitted quads?

Asking for a friend?

Yes - but not EV to EV. What will make you go from Tesla to another EV next time. I bet it has bugger all to do with the 0-60 times
The 0-60 time has bugger all to do with decision to purchase the majority of ICE cars. The cup holder count probably ranks higher these days.🙄

I'd say the vast majority of car buyers wouldn't even look at a 0-60 time before buying a car. It's only because most of us on here are petrol heads we talk of such things.

The most important things to Mrs JayF when buying her new car last week were the colour, inside and out and how easy it is to park.

The fact it has a weedy 1.2 engine makes absolutely no difference to her in the least.

Yes. Brings 0-60 down to 4.0s, and the 0-62 down to 5.9s.

It’s probably worth a re-read of the quads thread in any case Jay.

Good to know.

I read the quads thread every day. I'm hoping to be able to recite it from memory very soon.

Yes please if it's not too much trouble.

Can you try not to get the quads in as it'll make me feel extremely jealous.

Where can one purchase said Porsche tips?

Don’t call me a prat... but eBay is the best place...

More specifically, part numbers 997.111.351 and 997.111.352.

And you’ll also need some adaptors and clamps, so that they sit right, as Sir Ian originally intended.

Exactly my point - it's an irrelavant stat - even on ICE cars.

Agree - when I was growing up - it defined the type of car you ran, and it was one of the first questions your mates asked.
