I'm trying to find the position of the module that works the heated front seats in a 2015 2.0 petrol XE.
There are four heater elements. One in each seat base and one in each seat lumber and none of them are warming.
All the fuses are good and its a 16k mile car.
If I can find and understand how they work It may just be a simple fault that I could fix myself. Hopefully!

No electrical boffins on here then with the know how on the XE?
The seats are activated by a separate switch which then shows on the screen but still no heat in the seats.

Haven‘t got the wiring diagram but would have thought it‘d be the same for the XF. I’d also image the heated seats would be controlled via the BCM via a relay or mosfet. The fact that none them work suggests a common component, have you looked under the seats for a module and checked common earthing points?

Hi Gav. Thanks for the info. I'm not sure its quite the same as the XF as there's a button to push on the dash to activate the on-screen control, but nothing works from the screen in any of the elements. Having said that, I think that its just a prompt switch to activate the screen info.
I don't have the car in front of me now but I'm just looking into the problem for now to see if anyone else is having the same problem. There must be a common module for both seats or one of them probably would work.

Have you tried rebooting the seat modules by removing the seat fuses for 15 mins and pluggin them back in?
Or checking the heated seat fuses?

The seat modules are either in the footwell fusebox or the boot fusebox.
