Made some program modifications to friend's X260 XF. Activated:
  • parking assistant
  • traffic sign recognition
  • intelligent cruise control and speed limiter (works with sign recognition)
  • intelligent emergency braking
  • lane keep assist
  • video in motion
  • i-dynamics menu
  • winter mode for wipers
  • driver drowsy monitoring
  • apple carplay and android auto
to activate most of this options you need stereo-camera at front of windscreen (IPMA-module) and SDD software. If any questions - PM) Multimedia Vehicle Car Technology Luxury vehicle

Hello @Onotole ,

First of all, I would like to commend you on your work. Great work 👍.

I drive a Jaguar F-pace MY 2017 with Acc, self steering parking system, 360 degree camera, AEB, LDW, Bi-Xenon headlights without cornering lights and high beam assist. Additionally I have installed the digital cockpit and ICTP with 10" display with the actually Update. The dealer could not activate Apple Carplay + Android Auto because I do not have the connected package. So under the centre armrest I only have 2 x USB ports. As far as I can see, the stereo cameras are installed in my car. I would like to have bend lighting, high beam assist, LKA, traffic sign recognition, Apple Carplay, Android Auto and I-dynamics menu coded. Actually everything that is possible 😄

Bought the JLR VCI Diagnostic Associates cable. I also bought a USB module with sim card slot (if necessary). What I am still missing is the software. Maybe you can help me with it? Could you do all this? View attachment 192460

Hi Faith,

I too am in the same position as you and would like to implement some of @Onotole's incredible work.

My vehicle is a 2017 F-Pace with ICTP (10" display and digital cockpit) with the low line UIP in the centre console (2 USBs only, no HDMI or SIM). Currently, the car is running the S21B_21.37.2-778242 software - which I updated myself as it is capable of SOTA.

Two dealerships have told me it's not possible to get Carplay or Android Auto, both have referenced the UIP in saying so.

My questions are:
1) Is it possible for me to upgrade the UIP myself? (I can see them on ebay)
2) Is this all that is required in terms of hardware to run AA or ACA?
3) What is required in terms of software/coding?

I'm also interested in activating the other features of my car which are not currently activated. I have the stereo cameras (as above in Faith's post) etc.

Any guidance/assistance is appreciated.

On my 162 XF with digital dash I was able to have Android Auto and Apple CarPlay activated. Strange you can’t on the FPace as I would have thought used the same gubbins.

I had thought the same! Do you mind me asking because you have an Irish car too, what does the usb port look like inside your center console? It's that gubbin in particular that seems to be the issue.

On a side note, love the look of your car, very tastefully done!
Ryan I ditched mine so can’t remember sorry. Fitted quads also , shouldn’t have sold it ..

It worked for me. Apple Carplay and Android Auto could unlock @Onotole for me. Of course, I had to replace the USB module. @Onotole also activated the assistance systems for me.

This is great to hear!

In terms of components, hardware and tools. Am I correct in saying that I need:
1. JLR VCI Diagnostic Associates cable.
2. USB module with sim card/hdmi slot (I assume either high or mid line will work... Is is it a specific part?)

Is it just the software part after that?
Look in the "How to add ... using SDD Part 1" and Part 2 threads for all the info you need in getting set up with a laptop and Mangoose cable.
Once you have those in place one of the experts should be able to remote onto your laptop and set the car up for you.

As yours is a 2017 MY model it will be on SDD, not Pathfinder

Exactly.
1.JPLA-19E110-BB is the part number for mid-level USB module.
2. either jlr vci or mangoose. @Onotole told me that Mangoose is faster. So the assistance systems. With my cable it took 40 minutes. With Mangoose it should take about 30 minutes. The rest is just software. Either try it yourself or let @Onotole do it.
Hello
these are stereo camera options:
  • traffic sign recognition
  • intelligent cruise control and speed limiter (works with sign recognition)
  • intelligent emergency braking (pedestrians recognition)
  • lane keep assist
  • high beam assist
if you have one of them, i can activate others. this car had only high beam assist.

parking assist don't need camera. i can activate it in each car that has front and rear parking sensors.
Hello Otonole, how I can talk with you to activate all of this functions?
Exactly.

Thanks for this @Fatih_8967 , I have found and purchased a mid-line usb module with the same part number from a 2018 f pace on eBay. I have read that I may also need to change the hsd leads and am struggling to find a correct part number for that? Is that a requirement too? I work in a tech environment so I will give the software bits a go. Will drop an update in here once I've completed the work. Thanks for all the help, forums like this are such an amazing resource.

The Introduce yourself section is always a good starting point.

I'm based in Southampton and can help with activation/program various options using SSD and Pathfinder.
