Windshield washer not working.

Hi all fantastic Jaguar enthusiasts!!

PLEASE HELP ME 😅

Pushing the button, wipers work but no fluid.

Trouble shooting, my own and repair shop:
Pump is okey
Fluid tube free of obstruction
Faulty code: U3002-81

This actually happened when the car was in for body repair. They changed head lamp front passenger side, the whole bumper and front passenger body plate over wheel. I thought they had done something since the pump sits behind on that side.

Now they tell me that I need to change, buy a new CJB/BCM. This cost here in Sweden around 14 000 Eur!!!

I have previously encountered another fault where the car and the keys dropped communication when the car had been without battery, this they managed to fix with computer. I have a suspicion that something similar have happened now. When the keys fell out they where talking about changing the fuse box in the boot…

is there anyone her that have some input that can help me?

Kind Regards
Philip

Not yet @Ralf .
@ipodyu23 is trying to check with the previous owner, if he had any engine start issue after changing the batteries.
Afterwards he will decide if it's worth to travel 600 km to me and give the BCM reflash or reconfig a try.

Hi @xf_phil, did you ever had or heard about a facelift XF with a washer pump issue without having all the other issues like "Lost keys" or "Central locking not working" ?
Me, no. Always had "No cranking" and "Smart key not found" before the washer pump issue.

Cheers

My car came back from it's timing belt change, would run fine but no washers/rear wiper. (No central locking too, but I think that may be something to do with door modules as seems really much more common than bcm issues ). Strange thing was I could disconnect and reconnect the battery without change (I was expecting smart key not found, as I figured they had quietly attempted to fix with sdd in the extra few hours they kept my car), so that makes me suspect they might not have done a fix. I recovered eee from dflash, so know it wasn't that it had been written with a saloon image.

Hi Dirk,
Yeah I do wonder if they recovered my car using the autologic stuff... Perhaps it puts a workaround for broken eee, in the pflash code.
Alternatively perhaps the eee fails to read only, with some corruption in random places depending what's being written at the time.

If he's checked for wiring/pump issues, and there's no corrosion on the BCM pins then that seems the logical next step, well at least to see if you can read EEE.

Hi Ralf,

good to hear you got it sorted (y)

Oil smell inside :(
If you have the 3.0D, you might have to clear the engine housing around the oilfilter. I had this after a oil change done by a garage. This oil will smell for a few 1000 km :)
But you are right, Oil smell inside is not very cool :)

Cheers
