I had previously set my setting to not receive any alerts for reactions to posts, replies to posts etc.

Now I'm getting that nice wee red icon in my avatar in the banner all the sodding time.

I've checked my settings - none of the boxes are ticked to receive alerts for reactions to posts etc.


The only notification I have active, is for someone sending me a private message.



Any help please.

Its annoying - first world problems, I know - but please - help.

I've all mine off too and still have the red dot.... 843 alerts showing.
Why they can't separate the Alerts from the Messages and give us two icons is beyond me. On another forum that Allan and I frequent it's done that way and makes it much easier to see whan you have PMs

Yes, maybe the cost of the white border material has gone up too much due to the electronic chip shortage?..

It looks Bl00dy stupid on a computer screen imho...

Where is this Help>Release Notes section of which you speak? I too am getting "Alerts" for stuff I have previously set my preferences for NOT receiving.

I presume this is a low priority?

As suggested, we could have separate icons for alerts and messages.

Even better, make sure if we have alerts ticked off - they stay off please.
