As an aside, I had an email from Peugeot this morning - I was looking at the E208 the other week. Albeit with a 40% deposit, Pug are doing 0% soon for new ones soon! I think they have lots of early ones coming onto the 2nd hand market soon...

Before we decided to share a car (as we both work from home and don't often need two cars) we were looking at the E208 as it was on the Wife's salary sacrifice list. Looked pretty good tbh.

I would also add that this price levelling is a good thing, making EVs more accessible in terms of price. Just a shame about cost of borrowing and the 'less than good' press that EVs have received in recent weeks!


Indeed. Buy it cheap; sell and pay a little extra for a Performance?!!!

The plan may well be to buy it and run it .
The BIK tax advantages may well be diminished to the extent that it's no longer advantageous to take the Co car option.
If I'm still about and working, it looks like me sticking the car allowance into the pension and buying seems like a decent idea.

Yes - a nice looking thing. Bit like an old 205 from the rear! And a good range, 50kW battery (?). Certainly more useful than a Mini, if not quite as nice to dirve.

I am really looking forward to the Electric Renault 5 though!
