It ain't half bad and...it's a MG.MG4 gets a good review.
Save you a fortune p/m as well….![]()
On it.I think they really appreciate it when you share your wisdom with them.
Keep up the good work.![]()
I'm starting to look after my battery a bit better now.I agree. Lots of second hand EVs as PCPs and leased cars come to an end. Tesla Model 3s in freefall (Model 3P down by about £112k in last 12 months!). I've kept an eye on second hand electric Minis; same thing. I was watch a Level 2 at a car supermarket - dropped by £5500 over the last 14 days AND now with a £500 deposit contribution.
This is prices adjusting after the silly prices of the last 18 months! Some cracking deals out there, and more to come I expect. For both new and used. My old Tesla is still for sale (the one with the horrid body kit!); now worth about £8k less than they gave me as a PX!! Some burnt fingers....
The plan may well be to buy it and run it .I would also add that this price levelling is a good thing, making EVs more accessible in terms of price. Just a shame about cost of borrowing and the 'less than good' press that EVs have received in recent weeks!
Indeed. Buy it cheap; sell and pay a little extra for a Performance?!!!
Does it come with no badge option ( front and back)? The Q4 E-Tron S-Line that we test drove had many many things missing that you would expect in £50k car.
What about the Nissan Aryia?
Their top line model has everything including a 300+ mile range for around £55k
I was mightily impressed with it. Had the pre-loved iPace not come up, we probably would be driving one.
My first motor was a datsun sunny ...We struggled with the Nissan badge but having owned a Pathfinder for 5 years we weren’t worried about the build quality or reliability.
I know...... and look at how you turned out!![]()
And the kiddiewinkles mining union have got them all a payrise. The cost of making the batteries is falling (economies of scale) but the cost of the raw materials has gone up along with transport costs.
Zapmap reports but I'm not sure on how quick the reports come through. There was a bit of EV slating going on with BBC Radio 2 at lunchtime, a little was about the range and manufacturers apparently misleading - although the same can be said about MPG figures, but the main bulk of complaints was charging stations being out of order etc and this not being known by the car when taking them there. Do the charging stations not report to the cars when they are out of order or are in use?
I've read that ...many of the DT commentators are seriously mental. The Korean government has recently fined Tesla for misleading consumers about range etc. To be fair, from what I have picked up on various groups the Korean cars do seem to have the best range V cost and don’t seem to suffer from the cold as much as some. I guess the action against Tesla is slightly protectionist. I’ve also picked up that PSA have the worst drop in cold weather, I know this first hand too as my van was shocking in December. If EV’s are the future its looking pretty bleak at the moment.
James May sums it up pretty well.

James May: ‘I’m nearly at the age where I’ll choose one final car – this is what I hope it will be’
The TV presenter takes stock of the EV situation. He enjoys battery cars, but fears the public charging infrastructure could hinder demandwww.telegraph.co.uk
The DT has been a riot ( plenty writeups on EVs recently )..and I've made ever so many new friends over the past few weeksInteresting, I wonder why these people on the radio were having such problems. They never mentioned what cars they had though and I'm guessing like reviews, it will always be the few disgruntled who shout the loudest!
I wonder just how many had little experience in making long journeys , using an EV?They said that they were being directed to chargers, presumably by their navs? That's what my first thought was, but when they got there the chargers were either taken up or those remaining were broke. It would have been helpful if they had said what cars they were in though.
That's isn't a daft idea tbf.Yeah it would be kinda difficult to inform of queue sizes lol Although, come to think of it, would it be so hard? Google Maps uses people's phones to determine traffic density, so could Tesla use GPS signals from Tesla cars around the charging station to gauge an estimate - obviously just an estimate as some may just be parked up not needing a charge. Not sure how it would work with other manufacturers but that would be pretty cool.
and some big pull up pantsRumour has it that there's a performance version of the Plaid on the cards with 1200 bhp (rather than the measly 1050bhp of the standard 9.2s quarter mile version). You do have to pay for uprated brakes to get the extra bhp though.
Isn't it great!I see Elon is up to his old tricks again and slashing the price of his cars, it’s a bit of a kick in the nuts for anyone who bought one recently.
Sound advice...Will take this onboard.Good luck with your new EV. Enjoy your charging times and challenges. As long as you stay in town with short trips and charge at home it may work for you. I find on longer trips it is a real pain and time waster charging. Cheers
At that rate, tesla will owe you..It'll be quite beneficial for me when I buy mine from my company - less of the 100% capital allowance to repay, less corporation tax & less dividend tax.
