Erm, I'm not all that sure, I haven't got an XF anymore! From memory I think the master cylinder and brake booster may well be under the plastic scuttle cover.

You are correct cutlea01, you have a small "hatch" in the scuttle to check or top up the fluid. Phil

The plastic scuttle cover is held on with plastic trim clips or scrivet screws, again from memory, though maybe the wiper arms may also need to come off. Other than that I don't think it's all that bad to remove.

Wiper arms need to come off to remove the scuttle.

Only found this by accident today. If you press the Voice Control/Phone button on the steering wheel it mutes the music volume. This works even if you don't have the voice control option on your model.

If you have voice control the button mutes the volume, but if you say nothing the Jaguar Voice Lady soon asks you to repeat what you (didn't) say/said..
