Whilst our love of Scotland is inversely proportional to their hatred of England ( I've deliberately used that term), perhaps we can try and have a nice discussion on the subject of their independence....

If not, unflattering pics of wee nippy are very welcome.

Well, that's Scotland completely f**ked now with that useless idiot leading the great unwashed and driving whoever is left actually working into poverty.

No leadership skills, no business skills & a 3rd rate politician. Is this the man who is going to lead Scotland out of the United Kingdom & back into the EU whilst creating prosperity north of the border? Somehow I doubt it.

The SNP will most likely get mugged by Labour at the next GE.

Some of the crap coming out of Anas Sarwar (excuse the pun) with regard to second houses and private rental sector makes we wonder who would be worse. They all seem to be anti-private sector.
I wonder if running Scotland will be any easier than riding a scooter.....

His appointment will simply drag Scotland further down the pipe, it was however hobsons choice as they are all as crap/corrupt/selfish/blinkered as each other. There was no good candidate to vote for. I hope this tool will sound the death knell for SNP running / ruining Scotland

He got a bit upset when that vid was released.
I do so hope that the Scottish press wont play nice with him.
I'm sure hypocrisy will prevail and the 52/48 % result will suddenly be accepted as democratic now. They criticised the Westminster leadership for not being democratic because it wasn't the public who voted, yet here they are doing exactly the same thing.

I wonder why so many didn't vote, 21,675 members making up 30% of the great unwashed? Maybe they were still in their pits waiting for their next "wage" to be transferred into their bank before making that long struggle to the off-licence.

Kate Forbes: SNP leadership candidate leaves government

Yesterday, she was recorded saying "I hope he (Humza) has a place for me, we'll see." So, yes he did offer her a place but she was unhappy with the offer and apparently declined it. So she has hard feelings, despite Humza trying to say it's one party now. Continuation of SNP internal collapse?

Her place would have been 5 paces behind him.

You sure it wasn’t in front, throwing rose petals under his feet?

His shoes still hadn't dried out after the three colleagues in a tent gig. She was never getting a job after that.

Social Worker appointed as Finance Minister...

Shona McRory Robison was born on 26 May 1966 in Redcar, England. Robison attended Alva Academy in Clackmannanshire. She gained a Master of Arts in Social Science at the University of Glasgow in 1989. The following year, she gained a Postgraduate Cert in Community Education at Jordanhill College.[6]

Robison was an active member of the Scottish National Party's youth wing, where she met the likes of Nicola Sturgeon and Fiona Hyslop.[7] Before being elected to the Scottish Parliament, she worked in Glasgow City Council's Social Work Department.[8]
Probably about as unqualified as you can get.

Meanwhile... he gets rid of Ivan McKee the business and trade minister who clearly has plenty of business experience & an MBA

Early life and education[edit]
Brought up in Glasgow, McKee obtained a BSc.BEng in Manufacturing Sciences and Engineering from the University of Strathclyde and an MBA from Newcastle University.[citation needed]

Industrial and business career[edit]
In 1986 he began a two-year period of voluntary service in Bangladesh with VSO.[2] Following this, McKee worked for a variety of manufacturing companies. In 2005 he set up his own international manufacturing consultancy business and from 2009 to 2015 invested in, and successfully turned around, a number of manufacturing businesses including the purchase of distressed assets from Dunfermline-based Simclar whilst in Administration.[3]

McKee has significant international experience having managed businesses in Scotland, England, Poland, Finland, Croatia and Bosnia.[citation needed]

In fact the whole cabinet looks like a bunch of failures with many in roles in which they have no experience or qualifications.

Some of the posts look like nothing more than virtue signalling wokery.

Our Parish Council has far more talent, experience & qualifications than the Scottish Cabinet... and that's a fact.

It's amazing how much mess they've made despite extremely limited borrowing powers. Can you imagine independence under them? Shudder...
No more than I can imagine them running a country, well unless its into the ground.
Whilst I appreciate that the primary manifesto says they will campaign for independence, why doesent someone suggest running the country properly and not as a secondary . Perhaps when Scotland is not on its knees more people might be more open to the idea (although I hope not too many).

The original request granted for a Scottish independence referendum included the phrase "Respect the result", and was signed by the then leader of the SNP and deputy. Clearly, the party are disregarding or just plain ignoring this, to continue to fight for another referendum, assuming they do, as Humza has said he will. It's so much like junior kids in school, losing at a game then shouting "best of three".

Well, I called this one out last year, not that predicting the consequences of the eviction ban was a difficult one to call. How the SNP idiots couldn't see this coming is gobsmacking and if only there were other countries who have implemented rent controls with catastrophic results that they could have learned from...oh wait...

Rent control always leads to a stampede of landlords selling up at the first opportunity & the property exiting the private rental marketplace. I'm surprised there are still lenders willing to finance buy-to-let in Scotland.
