I feel that there's far too much Central Government interference up here. I wonder if it would be better to give proper autonomy back to Local Authorities and be there to guide them and keep them in check, but not control them.

I just find the whole independence thing sad. I lived up in Scotland for a couple of years. I have many friends both living in Scotland and living down here in England. None of these want independence. What they do want is good education, a better health service, improved infrastructure and a party that focuses on governing rather than a total focus on independence and other silly ideas.
