Apart from spares for my heating controls, I can't think of anything ( cept smoked salmon) that I buy or use that is 'exported' from Scotland.

25% Of EU wind and tidal energy. Where exactly will the monies generated from this go to? Holywood or shareholders?

I'd like to see how those numbers stack up against what Scotland gets as part of the UK.

What will happen to the SNP if Scotland does attain independence? Will the SNP bugger off like Nigel Farage did (sort of) after the Brexit vote? What happens to a broke Scotland then?

The best way to make a case for independence is to balance the books now - albeit with a reasonable adjustment for a greater share of the oil revenue.

That would also enhance the prospect of a speedy return to the EU & substantially increase the appetite for Scottish bonds/gilts while maintaining affordable yields.

Scotland can be independent but at the cost of a 7% reduction in the standard of living. The population of Scotland might think that’s a price worth paying as the UK did when when we voted to leave the EU.

The difference this time is that Vladimir Sturgeon seems to have neutered every part of the legal & political process that could harm her or her aspirations.

She's sacked everyone that's got in her way, she's stopped political opponents campaigning while conducting a daily political broadcast herself, & she's used public funds to promote the SNP & herself. If she could get her hands on some Novichok she'd probably deploy that as well.

Anyone with serious wealth would probably conduct their tax affairs this side of the border in the event of devolution. Do you remember the Berlin Wall coming down? How many West Germans do you think escaped to the East?
