There's your answer right there Wilf.. If the oil is full to the top, there's no room for the air to get in at the top.. and the result is that no oil can flow out the bottom..... ;)

Would that a Stag engine could be so airtight........... :p

Since I first "cured" these oil leaks, Brent crude has gone down $2/barrel. Sorry Rigger.

There's your answer right there Wilf.. If the oil is full to the top, there's no room for the air to get in at the top.. and the result is that no oil can flow out the bottom..... ;)
Reminds me......when I was a teenager I worked at a small local petrol station on Sunday mornings. Lady stood in front of her Austin A30 with the bonnet up and the oil filler cap off. She said "needs some oil in it, I can't see any". True story!

best find some leaks soon Wilf, otherwise you will need to spend more time indoors, and that gets more expensive :D

Still no leaks. Brent crude now down over $6 a barrel. The commodity traders must read this forum.
