It is supposed to be wood and Jaguar technicians say it is, but mega thin bonded to plastic and metal on the XJ. Not a pleasant job removing it anyway as feels like it is going to break, but once off your on the home straight.

Anyway, blue peter style here you go:

I downloaded this a long time ago before I ventured with my frozen lock problem and put a little extra sound dampening on.

The wood at the very front needs pulling off the panel, ie towards the inside of the car. They are vicious, made up of two clips, then it slides out.
As you look at the front you will see the clips. Using a panel puller can help but mainly just pulling.
I still need to remove everything out of my drivers door to replace a window seal but house comes first.

I don't suppose you have anything for the back door cards so you Stephen?

Every 500 miles or so the leading edge of the rear panel comes away from the door about 1/2cm or so, where the door card was never put back on properly after one of the sun blinds was replaced under warranty. I'm guessing that some trim clips aren't seated properly.
Sorry, I have not had the rear ones off but should be similar. Sounds a little odd that grip ok for 500 and start releasing unless one is broken and others hold for a while. Will be one of the normal clips with either a rubber o ring or foam backing.
