Hi Guys I have just had my 3.0 D XF sportsbrake serviced and they noticed that there was oil staining on the O/S turbo.
The car is running really good and have no noises or blue smoke.
Have booked the car into a independent Jaguar specialist Garage, but am a bit worried that this could very expensive as the car is only 7 years old.
I wondered if its best to cut my loss and get rid of it .
Any thoughts ?

All depends on what you pay and how much monthly?

Ive been thinking the same recently, I own mine so no monthly DDR to who ever. but if i got a new one it would probably be a 10k loan around 200 quid a month which is 2400 a year plus fixing that car possibly!!

So as long as the current car doesnt cost me more than 2400 a year im fine with fixing it. Until it lets me down which it hasnt broken down so is fine for me...

Are cars still at an all time high in cost? Chinese lockdowns will impact production again no doubt in the near future...

You need to work your own maths. How much is the repair, is it even needed, against how much a new(er) car would cost, and what if that was to develop a fault, add the cost a a warranty etc. Running a car has running costs!
