I've yet to hear of (or don't remember) anyone ever needing a new KVM, I don't know where your located but @MoJo88 or E & E services amongst others can perform the relearn procedure.

Glad the DPF issue is sorted, these cars don't usually give issues (mapping and coding aside) but as like any DPF equipped diesel, we see the occasional warning and owners asking what to do. Brake wise, members tend to favour EBC Redstuff pads, work well even when driven "spiritedly" with less brake dust and there's a good selection of makes & types available if you don't fancy the Reds. Brake judder is a known (and so far not fully understood) phenomena on the X250. Saw your car on the Modified Jaguars FB site, very smart looking (y) Post some pics here for members to enjoy, we like pics. Pop over the the New Members section and intro yourself and your car.
I've recently replaced the fronts with mtec drilled and grooved, finding them fine up to now, along with being more aesthetically appealing. I've already made a new member post here, posted before this thread, but sure I can add some pics here

@Chris84 did you get the locking issue sorted?
Apologies for the delayed reply, the wife has had me decorating the house

Yes I got the locking sorted, after numerous auto locksmiths and auto electricians looking at it via the garage with absolutely no idea how to do it, I contacted a jag specialist local to me and they claimed a new kvm would be needed, I wasn't convinced, so I opted to get myself a mongoose cable and download sdd, I used the new battery function on sdd and did an immobiliser relearn and everything is working fine now 😀

It was a bit of a pain to get working, I had to set up a virtual machine on my laptop to run Windows 7 (my laptop is Windows 11) there are lots of tutorials available online for this. Once installed it was pretty easy to use, the operations I used basically consisted of turning the ignition on and off while clicking next on sdd, it done the rest itself

If you need a PSU while using SDD, I got similar to this from Amazon which has adjustable voltage, wind it up to around 12.8v on load and use a pair of suitable jump leads for the connection cable. This one is 30A, bigger is available:
12V 30A 360W DC Switching Power supply Adapter
