I’m still waiting for the fan bearing and fan shroud to arrive from Land Rover so whilst it’s not being used, I decided I’d give it a decent wash.
Considering it’s not been machine polished yet, the shine on it is pretty good. Considering it’s black, the paint isn’t even that badly swirled either which is quite pleasing.
Nah... I've only done a few miles in it but it drives really, really well so I'm keeping this one! Over the last 10 years I've bought a couple of cars cheaply, done them up and sold them as I've had too many cars and I always feel guilty afterwards so I just keep everything these days! I'm sitting at 10 now so need to stop buying for a while!
Yea, they're slightly yellowed. I've gently wet sanded one of them but don't have the confidence to wreck the lights so am going to let the local detailer sort it out for me when it goes in I reckon.
I'm hoping that the parcel I'm waiting on arrives today and it can be MOT'd next week now. Once that's done I can get the hub sorted on the C5.
I've actually quite enjoyed sorting the Range Rover. It's given me something to do during lock down and it's been a pleasant distraction from working in IT and sitting behind a laptop all week. Shame the weather hasn't been a bit warmer whilst I've been doing it though!

Well, the RR parts haven't been delivered yet so I chased the dealer who advised they're waiting for one clip to arrive so haven't dispatched any of it yet. They're hoping to dispatch on Monday. At least this means I can get the C5 sorted over the weekend I guess.
I'm waiting for the correct bearing for the viscous fan and a fan shroud to arrive and then the car is ready for its MOT. It's driving me nuts not as I want to drive it after doing all that work to it
The C5 was fettled with at the weekend and passed it’s MOT today. The Wife has taken a shine to that one as she’s taxed it and is apparently going to use it for work tomorrow.
If you like left field Citroens, here’s a picture of it with my C6
The parts for the Range Rover arrived yesterday so tonight the bearing that holds the viscous fan was changed for the new, correct one, the fan shroud has been fitted and tomorrow night I need to get the under trays back on. I’m going to try and get it booked in for an MOT on Friday if all goes to plan.
I often think I ought to use my car-mending abilities on something worth saving. The Stag (aka Trigger's broom) is just about done now. Then I remember what a cold concrete garage floor feels like.................
