I have a set of XFR quad pipes in my garage. Collection from Bedfordshire looking for £120. Will fit 3.0d with sleeves and will fit 2.2d with a custom made Y piece.

I saw a great tip recently for polishing cylindrical objects. Using your preferred metal polish apply it with a oil lamp wick as its more controllable than using a rag.

If I remember right it was on BBC Repair Shop when they were sorting out a vibraphone and bringing its pipes back into good order.

My tailpipes were probably not far off these condition wise and I managed to clean them up really well using Autosol metal polish and some wire wool.

Don’t worry about the wire wool leaving light scratches - you would use fine wool and I certainly can’t see any scratches on mine.
