Heated windscreen / windshield

Hi,
After changing the windscreen of my classic X250, I realized that I got the heated one instead of the regular one.
My car is originally equipped with the regular one.
Is there a way to make it also do heat, even with a manual switch?

By the way, now the wipers set on Auto are triggered even when is totally clear sun outside, maybe some faulty job done to the wiring or sensor?

The sensor could be installed incorrectly (common thing) check how it's installed it from outside.

I would ask them to come back and fit the right screen. While the lines aren’t much of a distraction, if you don’t need them, have a clear screen

I'm actually debating with myself about this. The screen is better than the older 250.000 Km but I've also driven mostly in day time when light is not spreading all over the screen making you blind like. On the other hand, keeping it, the center console is probably less than 100 but the problem of retrofitting is the CCF reprogram. Still don't know someone closer with the right genuine tools.

I have had heated screens for years, going right back to the Ford Granada which introduced them. Rarely have an issue with sight being ruined by the embedded wires, and we get plenty of low sun here.

I just contacted him as he is very close and now waiting for his reply. The last time he was searching for someone to help him with the audio. If there is the case to find someone near with the right tools then I will start with retrofitting:
- heated windscreen
- front parking sensors
- fold-able mirrors
(and more expensive)
- audio
- seats

@super already made Meridian Surround Sound retrofit in his vehicle.

You need to order powerfold mirrors (if you have manual fold from factory), I could reprogram them after installation with wright mirror dip in reverse mode.

The front sensors retrofitting also not so huge project.

One question though, If I change the unit for non heated windscreen with the one for heated, it will work all the basic functions of it as normal and the heated windscreen only after reprogram or they are not compatible and will need reprogram CCF otherwise the A/C and climate will fail until?

Anyone knows how difficult is to change the climate loom. Is it lots of dismount and mount back task of entire dashboard and even more. I miss lots of looms in my car to start any upgrade. And after years I still miss them and I would keep this car for another 10 years to build a house in the country side and then have cash for a modern but second hand at that moment cat.
