A Jag dealer that I've been in contact with claims they have an allocation to a '22 SVR that I can have. A few questions as I've never ordered/built a new car:

-how "rare" is a '22 allocation right now (given the whole COVID thing)
-how long should I expect to wait for the car to be built and delivered? Dealer says 3 months....is that accurate?
-any favorable current financing options on new Jags (1.90% financing for example)

A few questions specifically to the new SVR:

-any squeaky brake noise?
-would u order it with mudflaps?
-am concerned that the engine noise is too "neutered" (no bangs and pops etc) on the '21 and later models. Any ways of ways of reversing that without messing up the warranty? I want it to sound as aggressive as possible

As far as I know the headups display is not currently available on 2022 models due to the chip shortage. That is fine with me as I find it to be distracting anyway.

Anything else that I should be thinking of??

ANY thoughts would be appreciated!!

Thanks

If it’s a build slot they’re offering you then that’s a good thing.

Get the opening panoramic roof if you can. It’s great.

Our ‘20 Chequered Flag squeaks it’s brakes every morning.

Mudflaps are a must for us, they look grand. It’s your preference.

Excellent car the SVR, would be my lottery win daily.

Thanks the information Statler. Yes, it would be a build slot,

How long does it take for your brakes to stop squeaking?

My neighbor has a Porsche Cayenne Turbo and his brakes squeak horribly when he leaves his driveway! That would drive me crazy :(

10-15 feet..... but not every time.

The SVR has much bigger brakes than the weedy ones on our F-Pace.
My XF has the same brakes as our F-Pace and never squeals. Likely down to different pads to the OEM.

Hello & welocme, stay safe.

I have a 21 P250 (not SVR) but no issues with brakes over 5k miles so far. Personally I would have mudflaps just to keep the dirt down, no idea what they look like but since I'm usually inside it not a problem.
