Hello Jaguar Enthusiasts,
I'm facing a perplexing issue with my 2012 Jaguar XF 2.2d and am in need of some advice or insights from this knowledgeable community.
Recently, I had to (1) disconnect my battery for a cable fix, which subsequently required me to (2) reprogram the keys. The dealer did warn me that some electronic components might act up post this procedure. True enough, I've run into a problem: (3) my front windshield washer has stopped working.
I approached the dealer for a solution, and they've informed me that there's no way to simply re-code or reset this particular issue. Their recommendation is to replace the front Body Control Module (BCM), which is quoted at EUR 360 + 100 EUR / hour to replace & reprogram it. Before I proceed with this costly solution, I wanted to reach out to this forum to see if anyone has experienced something similar or could offer alternative solutions.
Here are the key points:
Thank you in advance!
Best regards,
Vadim

Here are the key points:
- The issue arose right after the battery disconnection and key reprogramming.
- The dealer suggests a full BCM replacement, but I'm wondering if there's a more cost-effective approach.
- Has anyone successfully resolved similar issues through re-coding or other methods?
- Are there any common troubleshooting steps I might have overlooked?
Thank you in advance!
