Finally spent some time on it

I've put about 25 hours into detailing my XF (3.0 petrol if you're interested), inside and out.
I plan on going for a drive in Northumberland to get some better pictures tomorrow but so far, this is it.

Turns out I didn't get a chance to get many pictures but I've posted a few below.

looks great John, you can tell there’s been a lot of man hours there.
what products did you use out of interest, I really need to renew mine.
also I notice you’ve got self parking , interested in your views of that

Terrific job there, so satisfying doing it. Looks like "Ultimate shine" on the tyres.

Out of interest, Gav, how do you know it has self-park?

Thanks Gav!
I'll go through most of the main things I use.
IronX and Tardis for decontamination and a Aliexpress clay mit.
Menzerna pads and polish. I'd usually go CG Hex but they weren't in stock.
Home made ISA panel wipe.
Protection wise, Gtechniq c1 on the panels. C2 on the glass and lighs, because I ran out of C1, and their C5 on the wheels.
Then a coat of Fusso, a coat each of Dodo Juice's Hard Candy, Purple Haze and Supernatural.
I like to layer protection to prolong the total but also get the visuals of the softer waxes.
Oh yeah and ACF50 on any rubber or exposed plastics, including the engine bay. This stuff is brilliant, I discovered it when i first bought my motorbike but its exceptional on plastics and rubber.

I ordered a whole load of AliExpress stuff, all of which has been very good for the price. Microfiber towels, wheel brushes, applicators, detailing brushes and mitts.

On self parking, I've never used it. I tried it once but it was taking too long so I stopped it. I might give it another go now you mention it.

Almost, it's the endurance or whatever it's called. The purple gel stuff. I don't particularly rate it but I've got half a bottle left!

I like the endurance tyre gel.
I usually mix it with Concept Contour 1/3 - 2/3 which gives a good shine and lasts well.
