On the R-Sport the callipers can be a little rough as they don’t smooth them after casting.

It should be possible to use a flap sanding disc on a grinder to smooth them off before painting. That will give a much better finish and be more permanent than tacky add on covers.

The only possible failure point of any note would be the brake lines, but modern cars are supposed to have dual circuit brakes.. so the loss of braking on just one wheel, whilst not being ideal, would also not be horrendous, apparently...

Now, time for someone to correct me.

I thought the same Pete, but the reality was very different.

If you recall December 2019 when Mrs S lost a rear brake line on my X250, the entire system failed resulting in no braking performance.
Plus, with no fluid in the system, the car would not start.

Black on silver works too.
These decals are slightlycurved and work well in my view.

I coated the callipers with G-Techniq C5 and they have stayed clean two years on.
