How difficult was fitting the parts, PGG?
Fitting the ACC radar and the steering wheel switch pack was quick and easy.

Replacing the ABS pump was a pain in the...

My advice:
-prepare two tools for the hydraulic pipes. I just cut normal spanners in half. Due to space constraints, you won't be able to use anything longer than 5-6cm (unless you've got some specialised garage tools).

-Remove as much as you can of the plastic holders/brackets used to keep all the pipes together. Refit them once everything is completed. This will allow to move the pipes separately.

-disconnect the electrical harness and keep it out of the way (use some tape to protect it from the splashed brake fluid).

-Unscrew and disconnect two bigger pipes coming to the ABS unit first, bend them up (flexible sections) and fix them to something to keep them out of the way while accessing the other four smaller pipes.

-Loose two ABS fixing screws.

-You should be able to pull the pump up now, but it is still held by the rubber anti-vibration bracket. I had to use a short crow bar to remove it.

I had to rotate it upside down to be able to get it out of its little space...

Once the new pump is fitted, bleed it using SDD, EXACTLY as it tells you. Do not take short cuts.

Obviously, the Christmas tree lights will be lit on your dasboard until the new unit is properly configured with SDD...

@PGG
Nice work and thanks for the part numbers. I would like to do the same for my Jaguar XE 2016.

But one question to all, is the wiring harness including plug for the radar already installed in the car?
If no, where did you get the pin assignment and the plug?

Thanks in advance
The wiring harness for the ACC radar was in my car already (plugged into the blank holder). In my case, no wires were added or altered.

Open the bonet and have a look just behind the grill.

Hi all, I am new to all of this and so please with my questions.
1. Where do I find the modulator in my engine bay please? I want to see which (A* or B*) modulator I have.
2. so as far as I understood following this thread, the product codes that @Onotole provided, are they the same for UK? Also @PGG (as you seem to be from UK) where did you acquire the parts please? My Jaguar XF Porfolio X260 (16 plate) has a chrome grill, @Onotole used the black one. Can I actually get the chrome one for my car please?

3. The crucial question - when I order all the physical stuff, can someone help me with programming? Currently I don’t have any software but whilst reading around other forums, the thinking is, I would need Pathfinder rather than SDD due to my car being X260 but reading here @PGG you used SDD? Was it 16.01 version? What would I need please?

many thanks in advance.

kindest regards

All Jags can use SDD up to 17MY being the last models that can use it. As of 18MY (April 2017 onwards) the cars were then moved to pathfinder. The ABS modulator is under the panel where the fusebox is near the bulkhead. Theres two panels on the scuttle panel, it's the left hand side (passenger side in UK) or right hand if looking at the engine bay.

There is a chrome version that exists for the grille, as you can have the ACC on portfolio models too. You need to research, look on eBay perhaps as there's a plentiful supply of grilles on there.

Thank you so much Chris for your kind reply and help. I managed to see mine and it is HX73-14F447-AF with an A on top so am guessing this would need replacing. I did search for other parts but not so much of luck however I know one Jaguar dealer who is on eBay so I will send him a message with parts details.

And am also guessing my car already has the cabling running through? Or am I looking at the wrong place? See below

I also managed to find SDD 160.00 with 160.02 but it doesn't come with any activation so am stuck there. I am sure I will find one with the working activation somewhere.

Kind regards

Good luck with finding a -B variant. Damn near impossible to find.

Yes, that's the cable/connection needed.
Like hens teeth apparently, Oh I thought that connector was for the pollution sensor?

@Gav you mean to say I should check it at the bottom of the grille? I don't want to start buying stuff if the car doesn't have a cable loom run already because that would not be possible for me to do. If the connection is already there then it's worth looking around for parts.

Many thanks once again

Jay sorry not sure, but I had the pollution sensor on my last xf and I’ve a feeling the connector was there.
Might have changed on the x260 so do your homework.

Does MoJo's answer not help Jay?

It does mate, but like I say on my x250 I thought that was used for the pollution sensor which I had. But easy peasy I could be wrong as this is an x260

Thanks @MoJo88 , @PeteA and @Gav for your help. I’ll start collecting the kit and apart from the modulator I am guessing everything else is fairly easily accessible?
P.S. I have been searching the internet for the b variant, maybe perhaps my local scrapyard might help.
Kind regards

I mean I'm fairly sure that it's the CCM connector as it has the same amount of feeds into the plug and it looks to be in the same pins as well. It's been a while since I've done an X260 ACC retrofit but I've done both an X250 and an X761 in the past couple of months and they were in the same location. Same shape, same blanking plug.

Gav's making me doubt myself now 😅

Patience young Jedi.
Wait for your cable to turn up. It’ll have everything you need to get SDD set up.

Hi Guys.

Sorry to jump in on this thread, but as it seems the most recent on ACC i hoped someone might be able to help.

I have ACC on my 2010 XFS portfolio 3.0d. It stopped working a while back and I just get an orange flashing light on the dash. It’s been to The local Jaguar dealer has taken a look a few times but apart from replacing the ACC module (due to the cost involved), they haven’t been able to fix it.

After fixing another issue with car alarm going off intermittently it cost me £££ for the local Jaguar dealer to investigate and couldn't find the (replicate) the issue. I managed to sort out myself after a little research and a new bonnet sensor which only cost £35 inc P&P and 30 mins to replace , so my confidence in the Jag dealer ability is at an all time low.

I’ve now bought an ACC module from eBay which matches my unit numbers apart from the ones highlighted on my old unit (pic attached). Do I simply plug and play or do I need to do more such as re-programming (I don't have a diagnostic tool)?

Is there anything else I should look at that could be causing the fault, I saw mentioned on another thread about collision switches?

I'm quite handy with electrics so it there's any info on what reading I should expect to be seeing on a MM on the plug side?

Any advice will be very welcome.

Thanks Chris

Yes all x260 XF are pre wired for ACC. That is the connector for the radar module.

Does anyone know if GX63-14F447-BG is a compatible ABS modulator for ACC for a 2016 x260 XF?
