I hit the defrost button while taking the jag out of storage... well mouse dropping came out or the defroster vents. impressive amount of airflow and stink! but not exactly what I wanted. has anyone here gone into the bowles of the dash to take apart the heater core and associated duct work area apart for cleaning?? if so how much of a pain is it, and what was the chiropractor bill afterwords to put your aching back back together again? John (not as agile as i used to be)

The pollen filter was/is in good shape so I think it came in thru the interior, sigh, who knows where. Dad was the last to drive the F-type and he left the window down when he threw the cover over it, so I didn't catch it till a couple months went by. As for 6-cylinder mouse vs v8 I guess it smells less oily?? I really should, watch, my commas, closer. After this stinky incident I laid out several mouse traps, and put some peppermint oil on the rest of the cars in my barn. So far just the DeLorean and F-type smell like dead mouse.

I'd guess for access to the heater box and ducts at the front of car, it's pretty much a full dash tear down. Facia covers off and dash vent grills off will give access to the outlets but not the ducts, dash out for full duct access. Though crawling about under the dash may give a bit of access. Seems to be the general rules on cars anyway, though I'm not familiar with the dash tear down on an F-Type specifically.
