You can get Tracker Locate fitted for £300, and 3-year subscription special of £339 (3 years for the price of 2).

Worth doing the sums if it opens up the door to insurers that have a tracker-only policy for cars over a certain value.

If I match what you have based the quotes on then it comes out as follows based on 6,000 miles per year.

Also tried Chris Knott and they will not insure the car as it is in such a high group.

That's getting closer to the mark and a lot better than £750 👍

Aviva direct. They and Admiral also came up best for full year number quotes on the Meerkats site. And £400 cheaper than AViva through a broker.

Jaguar own insurance is a bit dearer but does not require a tracker under £80,000 value.

Not when I bought my car. I couldn't have the 7 day cover because the R-S didn't have a tracker. I can't remember if it was Aviva or Allianz who were the underwriters.

I'm with Allianz, (aka LR insurance), and it never came up because the RRS has a built in tracker. But it did with other companies I got to quote.
XF replaced by a big tractor due to intransigence of Jaguar marketing. When I wanted to order, a V6 engine and a Portfolio interior was mutually exclusive if you lived in the UK, but not elsewhere.

    Old lives matter!

That's one way to make sure you get some sleep.

Will be collecting at about 9.30am but won't be hanging about due to the potential 8hr return trip home.

So you now have just under 2 hours to practice saying "Well officer, I have an 8 hour journey so wasn't hanging around" without a big grin appearing on your face. Take and enjoy

OK just got back home now and the car is filthy, it was gleaming when I left Aberdeen but the journey home was awful, heavy rain nearly all the way. Dean sorry I could not spend more time chatting with you but good to meet you. Car is fantastic so much more responsive then the XFR.

No prizes for guessing what you'll be doing tomorrow. The weather looks reasonable for a change.

Enjoy Damian. Great cars aren't they? I've been playing this afternoon in dynamic and sport, and used 1/3 tank in 60 miles, but thoroughly enjoyed it. The supercharger whine at max throttle is addictive.

Im not that far from Cov if you fancy a meet and compare

Glad you got back safely Damien. Good to meet you too, I trust Peter Vary took good care of you.
She really did look really sparkling this morning, I'm sure it won't take you long to get her spruced up again.

So just for fun what was the mpg difference between the R and RS?
