Get the bare minimum done for the stamp and do the rest yourself. No reason you could not take it to an independent an have them stamp it. Not sure what that will do to the resale value vs what you save?

    7. 150k Renew front accessory drive belt
    8. 150k Renew fuel pump drive belt & tensioner (10 years or 150,000miles)

AKA 240.000KM in the picture in this thread, my car is at 255.000KM I am not sure if this has been done...
Car was going to the dealer up to 230.000KM, so is there a way to check it or better be safe than sorry and just do it?

This seems rather complex to do so take it to my dreaded NL dealer?
What would the price be kinda for this so I don't get ripped off

Hi, some dealers have a fixed price for these sort of jobs on cars over 3 years old, might be worth asking. Phil

yes it is the gearbox, I would make sure that ZF fluid is used and not some other similar fluid i believe that ZF boxes were at one time considered sealed for life but now a fluid change about every 80K is the suggested

I did it so no worries there
off that they dont specify it properly, I advise to go to an actual ZF place, those guys know what they are doing obviously!

Ok since I am at 260.000 KM I need to this:
Brake fluid change (every 3 years)
120.000 km Automatic transmission fluid (done it at 240.000)

@240.000 KM so I need to do this:
    Renew anti-freeze ?
    Renew front accessory drive belt?
Renew fuel pump drive belt & tensioner?

    See the service interval picure!

Yeh I got that one I already did the transmission flush @ ZF here in The Netherlands.

    Questions still remain about this:
Ok since I am at 260.000 KM I need to this:
Brake fluid change (every 3 years) --Done 2 years ago? --> Update did this anyways was a simple thing to do and not expensive
120.000 km Automatic transmission fluid (done it at 240.000) --OK (so we were debating if this was the powersteering or transmission fluid)?

@240.000 KM so I need to do this:
    Renew anti-freeze ?
    Renew front accessory drive belt?
Renew fuel pump drive belt & tensioner?

My local dealer is quoting me £385.52 for the 75k 5 year service on my XFR

Seems to me that's a A or interim service so just oil and filter ?

    On the Jaguar 3+ deal it's £199 for the 'A' service and £275 a 'B' service for a 5.0L petrol:

At 75k and 5 years I assume it's out of warranty.
Check to see if it is an A or B service and if there are any "extras" that are supposed to be done at 5 years old, then consider DIY.
A standard A service is nothing but an engine oil and filter change, both easily DIY at a tiny fraction of what the dealer has quoted you.

I just got a quote from an indie specialist (owner rebuilt an XFR that was wrecked and with a Jaguar trained techie who fled the stealership) to do the transmission change.
$750 (or around 375 pounds) Dealership quoted $1100.

I have 140,000 kms on it now so I'll have to think about the belt change I guess...

I checked the belts last oil change and there was no sign of wear and they don't feel hardened.

The ZF6 was never sealed for life by ZF, it was more Jag marketing speak - life = company car life / finance from new life / original warranty life.

Think its 7 years or 80,000miles. I didn't know this so mine got done around mid-90s.

Apparently the ZF8 doesn't need any servicing.

I simply do not believe that about the ZF8.

It too will benefit from fluid changes, like any auto gearbox in the world. I bet the service schedule in the USA includes gearbox oil changes..................
XF replaced by a big tractor due to intransigence of Jaguar marketing. When I wanted to order, a V6 engine and a Portfolio interior was mutually exclusive if you lived in the UK, but not elsewhere.

    Old lives matter!

Agreed I think if you contact ZF they will tell you it needs to be changed "at one point in time".
This can me based on years or KM/miles.

Indeed - no change in the service regime.

No it has another 18 months of Jag approved used warranty . Its just the A service , they said oil and filter, air con decon, and inspection . The car had a B/major service last year about 6k ago and had all the brakes replaced, new fluid etc etc . I replaced the pollen and air filters and deodorized the air con myself . I could easily do the work myself but its that stamp in the book

Well fired an email off so we will see

I called to yesterday to book my car in for a service (*****) Jaguar XF-R 5.0l the car has currently covered 64500miles.

    I was quoted £385.52 for 75k 5 year service (A service)

Looking on the Jaguar UK website I found a list of fixed prices https://www.jaguar.co.uk/owners/serv...servicing.html

This scheme for cars over 3 years old like mine lists the interim service at £199 or a major service at £275 there is nothing listed for £385.52

My car does not require a pollen filter, air filters or air con deodorise as I have undertaken this work myself since purchasing the car from you in October.

It may require a brake fluid change but that should be in the records you have as you have maintained this car for the previous owner from new

    Please confirm your rates asap
