Meridian Surround Sound System retrofit made

    Hi everyone!
Today there was made the upgrade from Jaguar Sound System to Meridian Surround Sound System
first of all there was made some changes in CCF file - the system thought that the MSSS was already installed, even was menu with "subwoofer".
Next step was installation of rear parcel shelf with surround speakers (the photo of parcel is shows in my thread about parcel shelf

    )
    Today I got the front surround speaker C2Z 22817, sub C2Z 15665 and amp С2D 30272.
After all these items were plugged the menu with "DTS", "DOLBY" and "Meridian"alived - so I'm happy.
A few photos 'll post soon

Remarkable, just shows what can be done.
XF replaced by a big tractor due to intransigence of Jaguar marketing. A V6 engine and a Portfolio interior are now mutually exclusive if you live in the UK, but not elsewhere.

Very interesting. Could it be done to a pre facelift. Spoke to a specialist audio shop in the Midlands yesterday, someone had bought a facelift xf but not the upgraded audio so they upgraded for him. New amp, replace speakers and subwoofer in boot and rear parcel speakers. No change out of £2000 Would like the rear parcel speakers and a bit more oomph.
XJLWB Polaris, black venoms, rear entertainment pack, front and rear heated and cooled and massage seats, heated steering wheel, illuminated tread plates and luggage liner and lots more.

I have spoken to both the dealers and independents and all say it cannot be done. Did you buy all the parts from dealer, ebay or salvage?

Subwoofer and front surround speaker new ones, amp was found in eBay, parcel shelf with surround speakers in Poland. The modification of CCF file and amp reprogramming was made myself via SDD.
All dealers sing same song "its impossible"

All components are "geniune jaguar spare parts", in my case the wiring were already installed from factory, so just plug&play with some programing of IAM (Head unit) and amplifier

You can check in TOPIx wiring diagrams of sound systems, but if you have Jaguar Sound system on ore-face lift - then you should make some wiring and change Head Unit, 'cause on models before 2011MY, there was the different sound architecture that on facelift ones.

That's my thinking. Swop is more complex on preface lift if not impossible.

Right here folks is the key to this upgrade. If you can't do this yourself, (or don't know someone who can) you cannot do the upgrade, period.

I agree. I have the SDD but I dare not poke around in it you risk messing up the car unless you know what you are doing.

Agree! I's impossible to use a SDD if you are not aware in each step
