Looks like a new XJ. Not new now though.

Jaguar won't like that publicity yes it's an xj.

It seems that an Evoque or two does the same, we had the XF on here the other day!

I reckon the old git overloaded the Voice system with a stupid faux-cockney accent. Listening to that is enough to make anyone self-combust.

I think bearing in mind his previous employment he may well know the ins and out of starting fires.

Hot cars then!

Remember when the (then) new Ferraris were also self combusting? Didn't do them any harm. The brand that is, not the big red Fiats reduced to ashes.

Dick Van Dyke certainly doesn't look to be 87

What with the Polish guy on the "other" forum, the F-Type and this XJ that's three.

Is anyone else a wee bit concerned their Jag might spontaneously combust ?

The Polish guys car was a diesel (apparently it was DPF related), the F-Type was clearly a Petrol model, DVD's car was probably a petrol XJ - so what is going on, why are they all catching fire ?

Not in the slightest bit worried. Cars catch fire all the time, must see at least one a week, and they are certainly not all Jaguars.

Remember the combusting Ferraris? Did that stop people buying them or even worry about them?

You're right Wilf, but it makes me think that I ought to get myself a car extinguisher sooner than later.

Once it gets that hot you can't open the bonnet anyway. Game over

I can't remember seeing that many of the same brand catch fire in the same short period of time, then again maybe I've got a bad memory !

Oh well at least it's raining today so that could help !
